This happens to be one of the services that we get the most calls about. Especially when the fall and winter seasons roll around and you just can’t find a way to get hot water out of that faucet! We know that things can get rough really quickly. We thought it would be a good idea to go over some of the more common issues that we see people facing and how we could get around to solve them. Of course, in this case, spotting the issue is pretty easy. If you are not getting hot or cold water for that matter than there is an issue there that we can take care of!
Do Drains Freeze?
This is actually a major issue around here. We don’t want to go all stop global warming on you, but the fact of the matter is the seasons have gotten a bit unpredictable as of late. So, we actually have to be careful about making sure that we do not leave water out on the drain to freeze. Making sure that your water heater is working properly can be a great way to prevent your drain pipes from freezing.
Getting Routine Check-ups
This is another one of those things that are actually more important around areas like the one that we live in. If you live in Miami or L.A. you may not be too worried about freezing pipes and things like that. Since we get those types of problems here though, making sure that your pipes are in good conditions at least once a year can go a long way to avoiding in major damages. We know that may not be something that you would expect us to write about under the residential and commercial heating and cooling section, but we thought it would be a good idea to do so!
This Is Not A One Size Fits All
We have already talked about the size of water heaters in other areas of the site. Since we know that you may not get the chance to get through the whole site we are going to get in another mention. The size of the water heater should be directly related to the size of the home or the number of kitchens and bathrooms that it contains. That way you won’t have a problem of trying to overuse or just not having enough energy to power the entire system. It is really that simple!
Is Solar Energy An Option?
Solar energy has become a very cost-effective way to power a lot of different things inside a home. Water heaters are now being powered by sunlight in many areas of the country. Are we living in one of those areas? We are right on the fringe, to be honest. In that, we may get the right number of hours of sunlight for solar energy to be a reliable option or we may not. If you are looking for a cost-effective way to handle your residential heating and cooling electric heaters may do the trick!
